ok.. just a thought, what if we spent less time obsessed with the way we look, what we wear and the things we have/think we need to have... you know what, how bout we stop all together... perhaps then there'd be more time to sustain our earth, nourish our spirits & love one another... i mean does what we focus on in this society really matter? it doesn't, and if you are telling yourself it does then you're lying to yourself.
so why do it then?
seriously, if we dress ourselves in nice clothes, fix our hair, plaster make-up all over our face, get into our fancy car, come home to our houses filled with things... but yet we are not kind to all those around us... waste resources like they are renewable... horde riches while we watch people in need suffer, contribute nothing to the betterment of society, what worth does our physical appearance have? what good does it provide other than self satisfaction... and then how does that self satisfaction benefit our life? what does it provide us with? a false sense of success. a false sense of accomplishment. a false sense of self worth.
a false reality.it's all an illusion. an illusion we keep in place so that we do not have to focus on 'life'. an excuse we create to avoid having to cultivate our spiritual selves.
what's my point.. i don't really have one, i just think this is something we should all start thinking about. maybe i'm wrong... but maybe i'm right. i don't need my burberry shades and my nike shoes and my true religon jeans and my honda crv and my diamond ring and my hair did. fuck it all..
